English version

Project description.

Taj quel batel skotol – Everything you see is a text-photographic exposition that looks to show some of the elements that make up the state of Chiapas building a silhouette based on the body of the place.

Totzil as a language that takes up most of Chiapas is also viewed as an obstacle when it comes to deciphering the view of this place.

At the same time it is a key element in order to get to know the place, since it is linguistic roots are yet to be dismantled. At the same time the linguistic groups tend to do more talking rather than the touristic scenery. The vibe you get from this place when you simply lie down and enjoy the scenery.

In this matter, the resulting peace, is abundant in the game of each view. This resulting in filling voids with the relative meanings of what one is able to apprehend.

Indications of a filtered production.

The responsibility that a spectator holds in a different context is a certain measure of the immersion, that will be limited due to the inevitable that he holds in his view.

The implications that a person that sees may have are the ones of a body that is a social outlet and also a possible generator of territoriality. Being this where the idea of using elements of a place as a photographic filter, that will be generated in a dialogue in between the filter of the view and the place.

This filter, as the constructor of the body of a place, since the scenery is something that does not exactly surround us, meaning that, the way of looking at her scenery begins from our interior.

The character is who builds the body of a place, it is who built the territory and at the same time is an object of this place. Character is who builds the place and at the same time is part of it. It forms a part of the place and at the same time it is part of its language.

Continuity of the project

The continuity of the project consist in a second visit to Chiapas with the objective of take the other part that I could not visit

This visit will be focus in the capture of images which will take the important parts of the tradition, scenery and character who builds the rest of Chiapas, this objective needs to look at the other native languages that people preserve and they will make a new interpretation of the new pictures that I will take to show them.

This action will ends in the recollection of relevant information on the culture of Chiapas trying to take the essence in the eyes of the people who live there through their own way of interpreting, speak and live.

The purpose will be the dissemination of the modes of look, translate and explore life between people from different places in that state and do dialogue with them build a contemporary body of Chiapas which will have been recorded in light boxes that have the purpose of exposed in different places, travel where the language of these people cannot get and is also threatened with being forgotten.
